There's no better way to spend a fall day than a hike in a state park. We are experiencing some very warm days this week for November. I think a visit to a park may happen!

We are going through a very dry spell. Haven't had much rain since sometime in July. So my flowers have suffered. But butterflies have found my zinnias, and I have enjoyed trying to identify them.

I spent this evening watching the hummingbirds come to my feeder.

I found a Carolina wren's nest with eggs in a box in my dad's outbuilding. Went looking for something else, and found she had been there before me. I love surprises like that.

Wow. Alaska is a beautiful state. The mountain scenery and glaciers, I couldn't soak enough of it in. Seeing the whales, hearing them spout and talk, well, wow again. And all the flowers! Wonder what I'd be saying about it if I'd gone in January? :)

My youngest graduated from college Saturday. My daughter to have her second child Tuesday. Big events. God has blessed. I give Him praise!

It's a rainy spring morning. I'm going to step outside and look for new flowers blooming and listen for new birds that have come back. This is a favorite time of the year.
