                             A close-up of a tree frog belly!

An underwing moth would camouflage better on a tree trunk.

I am missing the hummingbirds. Last saw one on the 11th.

While weeding my flowerbed, I had company! I hope he found a vole for dinner.

Green tree frog on green leaf.

Dragonfly resting in the bee balm.

Red-spotted Purple Admiral-what a beauty!

                                                       Apple blossoms from April

First mushroom found! It was a good spring for mushrooms!

Never know what else you might find when mushroom hunting. This turtle was  thinking about coming out of hibernation.

We had so much rain this spring. And this crawdad was loving it!

Spotted this bedraggled luna moth- still pretty awesome!

Spring is coming slow this year. The woods still have a barren look of late winter.

But there is some spring activity. The Red-shouldered hawks have been calling.

Harbinger of Spring, or Salt and Pepper, is poking up among the dead leaves.

And I found my first Bloodroot ready to burst into bloom if the sun will shine.

My bubble rock offered some very icy drinks in late January.

                                               Twin tufted titmice?

                                            Twin white-breasted nuthatches?

Winter finally showed up.

And so did a winter wren!
