What a surprise! November has been fairly mild, only a few frosts. So I still have flowers! Primrose and foxglove are pictured. I still have geraniums blooming in a hanging basket, too. But snow is in the forecast.

When icy winds begin to blow,
then flowers have nowhere to go.
They shiver, quiver, drooping low
'til blanketed by drifting snow.

Another visit to McCormick's Creek State Park. Had a frost that finished the garden. Good potato crop this year. Would have had lots more sweet potatoes, but some critter found them and tasted most of them. My last two roses are in a vase on the dining room table. Always sad to see them done for the year.

Have a poem in Nov/Dec issue of Know magazine. Excited about that!

I won't let these weeds grow in my flowerbeds, but I do enjoy their blooms out in the wild.

I found this hummingbird sitting on a lily, not looking too perky. I fixed a feeder for her to feed from, and when I checked back, she was gone. Perhaps the heat was getting to her. It's been in the 90's here for 15 days in a row.

I love my flowers. Here is my back door flowerbed. My work buckets are waiting for me. The green one is for weeds and clippings. The little white one is for the Japanese beetles that love my roses. They have just started showing up, and I'm ready for them!

Migration is in full "wing" and I spend as much time out looking as I can. This spring has been cooler and very wet. I've had more time to bird because I've been unable to garden. I finally planted my raspberries and asparagus in the mud. Fun!

I love waterfalls. Love to watch them. Love to hear them. We were at a state park again- last day of March. Glad March went out like a lamb... :)

Had an ice storm. Fortunately, kept our power. Ice can be beautiful, as well as very slippery! The yard is a skating rink. I walk very carefully to take care of the chickens. Very, very carefully when I come back to the house with eggs!
